We present results of the highest resolution, global, MHD simulations to date of the flow around a newly formed planet of Neptune or Jupiter-like mass, embeded in a magnetized, turbulent protoplanetary disk. In addition to the development of MRI turbulence in the CPD and the ej of highly collimated jets, we discuss possible implications of our findings on the scenarios for the formation of regular satellites around giant planets.
