Wavelength-Dependence of Granulation Patterns from the IAG Solar Spectra. (2026). Revista Mexicana De Astronomía Y Astrofísica, 62(02), 238-244. https://doi.org/10.22201/ia.30618649e.2026.62.02.7552

Abstract

We investigated the wavelength dependence of several signs of granulation in the IAG solar spectrum. In particular, we find that two effects can be distinguished: normal chromodependence is broadly explained by atomic and photospheric structures; however, anomalous chromodependence manifests in several ways without a clear justification. We evaluate and reject two theoretical explanations. Finally, we propose a revised list of blend-free Fe I lines with convective blueshift.
