Abstract
The present paper reports on observations of the transitions H159α, and H200β with a beam of 30arcmin in the direction of four H II galactic regions and of 30 Doradus, in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Three of the galactic sources observed, G268-1.1, G287.5-0.5 and G305+0.0, show evidence of stimulated emission having an average ratio β/α = 0.14±0.05. The observed ratio in the direction G12.7+0.0 is 0.20±0.06. In the direction of the 30 Doradus Nebula the results are ambiguous due to the low signal to noise ratio. In the spectrum of the Carina Nebula the He159α line is present. The ratio He/H = 0.11±0.05 suggests that the He may be distributed over a large volume in the nebula.
