Abstract
Stellar hydrodynamical (Jeans) equations and the de Vaucouleurs' r1/4 law for the intensity profile are used to obtain expressions for the projected rotational velocity and dispersion profile along the major axis of elliptical galaxies. The numerical results are applied to the elliptical galaxy NGC 3379.Similar Articles
