Abstract
Interstellar magnetic fields may induce the precession of the angular momentum vectors in fragments of molecular clouds and may produce the randomization of the spin rotational axes in protostellar clouds. Preliminary results indicate that this mechanism is very efficient and could erase the memory of the differential rotation from the Galaxy in timescales of the order of 10^6 yr.
