Abstract
An interpolation mechanism is developed for the detection of systematic differences between position and proper motion catalogues and is applied to the AGK3 and Santiago 67 catalogues, using the Carlsberg Meridian Circle catalogues No. 1 and No. 2 as reference sources. Key words: ASTROMETRY
