Abstract
We present a simple model, as a pedagogical exercise, in order to obtain infrared transition energies for heteronuclear diatomic molecules, based on rotational and vibrational Hamiltonians. Our calculations allow us to identify CO absorption lines that are present in the atmosphere spectra acquired in astronomical observatories.Similar Articles
