Resumen
We are conducting a long-term project to observe a wide sample of cataclysmic variables with high resolution spectroscopy ( R ∼ 20000) using the echelle spectrograph at the 2.1 m telescope at the Observatorio Astronómico Nacional at San Pedro Mártir Observatory in Baja California, Mexico. Time series of a number of objects covering several orbital periods have been used to map their accretion disks using the Doppler tomography technique. We present preliminary results and discuss how can we take advantage of the GTC high resolution spectrograph to improve these kinds of observations.
