Abstract
Intermediate dispersion spectra obtained with a photon-counting detector in the blue and red spectral regions of HD 152236, as well as near infrared photometry (J,H,K,L) are presented. Equivalent widths of the main lines are tabulated and infrared free-free fluxes derived. Mass loss rates are determined from the free-free excess at 2.2 and 3.5 μm and by means of the Hα emission strength; a consistent value of ∼ 9 x 10^-6 - 2 x 10^-5 M⊙ yr-1 is obtained with both methods. Spectral variability is discussed in connection with previous observations.
