Abstract
Surface B and V photometry was obtained for the southern galaxies NGC 2855 and NGC 4507. Total magnitudes, distances, absolute magnitudes, as well as lenghts of major and minor axes are determined. Isophote B and V maps, B and V luminosity profiles along major and minor axes as well average profiles are shown. The average B profile is decomposed and the different components identified. The behaviour of the B-V profiles is discussed.
