Abstract
The aims of the Mechanics of the Solar System, according to its historical development are three: 1) Establishment of truth and universality of the gravitational theories, 2) Construction of ephemerides of the motion of heavenly bodies, and 3) Understanding of the dynamics of the Solar System. In this paper some new results on the dynamics of the Solar System are reviewed. They are related to the distribution of minor planets, to the phenomenology of Saturn rings and to the orbital resonances amongst planetary satellites. These results allow us to see the directions of modern Celestial Mechanics and unsolved problems that will be the aim of concentrated efforts in the forthcoming years.
