Abstract
We describe the survey of infrared sources south of the galactic plane (260° < l < 360° and |b| < 5°) carried out by the Astronomy Department of the Astronomical and Geophysical Institute of the Universi ty of Sao Paulo in cooperation with Meudon Observatory and the Astrophys ics Institute (I.A.P.) in Paris. The equipment used consists of an infrared photometer with a InSb detector cooled at liquid nitrogen tempera ture (77 K), at the focus of the 60 cm Boller and Chivens telescope of Valinhos Observatory, in the State of Paulo. 700 new infrared sources have been identified so far.
