Abstract
A statistical test for the distribution of galaxies on plates is presented. We apply the test to synthetic astronomical plates obtained by means of numerical simulation (García Lambas and Sersic 1983) with three different models for the 3-dimensional distribution. Comparison with an observational plate, suggest the presence of filamentary structure.
