Abstract

This paper is based upon α(16) Γ(9)-photometry for 500 stars from the Bright Star Catalogue. The spectral range is from 0 to K of the five luminosity classes. The list of stars also includes Be-stars Wolf-Rayet, Am and Ap stars, and other non-normal stars. The 0-39 V, and the AO-G2 V stars fall on the α(16) Γ(9)-array in two slightly different sequences. In this diagram stars are separated by luminosity, emission, anomalous abundances or abnormal spectral type, to form separated groups nd subgroups, each one occupying a different region on the α(16) Γ(9)-plane. There are three subgroups for Ap stars and also three for stars with the Hα-line contaminated by emission.
