Abstract
ABSTRACT. We have analyzed the chaotic regions in seVeral potentials representative of elliptical galaxies as a function of energy. Following the technique developed by Vazquez (1986, private communication), we have constructed diffusion rate images for each case. We have found that the invariant manifolds are self-similar (fractals) and that their location can be traced by the local diffusion rate.
