Abstract

Type I Supernovae are thought to be the result of the thermonuclear explosion of a carbon oxygen white dwarf in a close binary system. As the only direct information concerning the physics and the mechanism of supernova explosions comes from the spectrophotometry of the emitted radiation, it is worthwhile to put considerable effort on the understanding of the radiation transfer in the envelopes in order to set constraints on the theoretical models of explosions. In this paper we analyze the role played by the layers curvature on the radiative transfer.
