Abstract
A review is given of the methods for the study of molecular equilibrium under stellar conditions. All the equilibrium constants for diatomic and triatomic molecules are given in terms of spectroscopic constants, allowing full account to be taken of isotopic variation. Numerical procedures are outlined for the solution of the equations for the equilibrium concentrations of an arbitrary number of elements (including ions) and molecules.
