Abstract
We review recent evidence for a connection between star-formation and nuclea r activity in Seyfert galaxies. We speculate that AGN activity and star-formation occur on "cycles" of ~ 108 yr, and that there may be an evolutionary link between the AGN properties and the age of the nuclear stellar population.
