Abstract
We have obtained echelle spectra of all southern A type stars from the Bright Star Catalogue with a resolution of 0.04Å. More than 1,200 spectra were taken. We have review the different methods to derive vsini. We have discussed the systematic effects involved. We selected a Fourier transform-based method to derive vsini in the present redetermination. A statistical analysis will follow.
