Abstract
I present a review of the paper by G. Haro and W.. Luyten, 1962, BOTT, 3, 22, 37, on Faint Blue Stars in the Region near the South Galactic Pole. I discuss the work carried out by Haro, Luyten, and collaborators on the search for faint blue stars and mention some of its implications for the study of blue galaxies and quasars.
