Abstract
The present, high velocity resolution survey of the Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC) at 21 cm has yielded about 5000 profiles, which were reduced and convolved to produce corrected profiles on a rectangular grid of the sky. The profiles were then used to produce about 40 contour maps for H I density and velocity distributions. Assuming a distance of 66 kpc for the SMC, the total hydrogen mass is estimated to be 6.6 + or - 0.5 x 10 to the 8th solar masses.Similar Articles
