Abstract

A review of the state of research on the clustering of faint galaxies, emphasizing the evolution of clustering is presented. A new catalogue of faint galaxies on a 3 deg2 area near the North Galactic Pole and complete to J = 24.5 has been compiled. The author finds that the angular correlation function on small scales has a slope consistent with theoretical predictions (-0.8) and flattens towards fainter magnitudes. The latter provides preliminary evidence for evolution of the clustering pattern at large look-back times.
