Abstract

This paper carries out a frequency analysis of the photometric data available in the literature pertaining to the planetary nebula NGC 2346. The frequencies 0.06259, 0.067415 and 0.00608 c/d were found from these data that cover a flme span of 2867 days, although their very existence is unexplained by any model of an early type star. A careful analysis of the data shows that the previously proposed modd does not adequately describe the observations and that the observations are more easily explained by pulsation and eclipses in a triple system.
