Abstract
The authors report a search for Hα emission-line stars that was carried out in two young star clusters of the Small Magellanic Cloud: NGC 346 and NGC 371; using the ESO 3.6-m telescope equipped with EFOSC in the slitless spectroscopic mode, a grism, and an Hα+[N II] interference filter. Data were reduced in the MIDAS environment by means of a semi-automatic procedure in order to detect the Hα and/or [N II] emission features on the 2D-spectroscopic frames.
